We have been ON FIRE winning on 7 of our last 8 picks and 28-12 on all picks through the these playoffs. We have all the winners today (odds provided by http://www.coolbet.com)
Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Tampa Bay Lightning (12PM EST): This series continues to be a very close, low scoring, tight checking series though 4 games. Only 1 game has been decide by more than one goal (Tampa game 2 win 3-1) and there have been only 5-4-5 and 3 goals scored in each game respectively. I would not expect the Lightning to deviate from a formula that has been working and Columbus does not have the fire power to open it up against one of the most potent offences in the NHL. Both goalies have been outstanding in this series, but Joonas Korpisalo has only one win to show for his efforts.
PICKS: LIGHTNING WIN -175 and UNDER 5.5 goals -165
CAROLINA HURRICANES vs. BOSTON BRUINS (4PM EST): The Hurricanes lost a golden opportunity, dumping a 2-0 3rd period lead last game to lose 4-3. It had to be a demoralizing victory and losing Jordan Staal off Charlie McAvoy’s huge hit isn’t going to help. They to pull out all the stops here as it is do or die. The Bruins are experienced and have been here before. I don’t see David Pastrnak playing in this one (being up 3-1) but they won’t need him. The same lineup that won the last two games should be able to ride the momentum and beat a depleted/demoralized Carolina team.
PICK: BRUINS WIN -141
ARIZONA COYOTES vs. COLORADO AVALANCHE (5:30PM EST): Not a whole lot to look at here. Colorado is the far superior team and have outscored the Coyotes 17-5 in the 4 games. Darcy Kuemper needed to make 49 saves to get their lone win (4-2 in game 3) and has faced 141 shots in just over 10 periods of hockey. Enjoy the golf season Arizona.
PICK: COLORADO WIN in regulation -133 and OVER 5.5 goals- -130
MONTREAL CANADIENS vs, PHILADELPHIA FLYERS (8PM EST): This has been a series of two goalies. Carey Price has been on another level for the bleu, blanc et rouge. He has allowed only 5 goals in 4 games (1 shutout) with an insane .951 save percentage and a 1.25 GAA. And he has one win and his team is facing elimination. Due in large part to Carter hart, who despite allowing 4 goals in game 2 (1 empty netter) has only allowed 6 goals in 4 games (2 shutouts) for an equally dazzling .953 save percentage and 1.50 GAA. I think Philly is the better team, but I don’t want to bet against either one of these goalies.
PICK: UNDER 5.5 -182
VANCOUVER CANUCKS vs ST.LOUIS BLUES (10:30PM EST): What a series this has been. The young high flying Vancouver Canucks looked poised to usurp the defending Stanley Cup Champs outscoring the champs 9-5 in the 1st two games and sending the darling of St. Louis, Jordan Binnington to the bench. But not so fast. You don’t win the Cup in two games, and the Blues have bounced back to win the next two games with Jake Allen in goal. The game 3 overtime loss might be hard for a young team to overcome. They could have been up 3-0, but instead find themselves in a dog fight with the dog with biggest teeth. My heart want s to pick the Nucks, but these games are most often won on experience.
PICK: BLUES WIN -141
