The Evolution of the Washington Redskins Logo
Hail to the Redskins!

The NFL schedule is officially out, and while we are still uncertain how the 2020 NFL season will play out that is not going to stop us from looking into the match ups. Really, what the hell else do we have to do? Easy to schedule your Redskins watching this year. 14 games on Sunday at 1PM, 1 game at 4:25PM Sunday and a Thanksgiving day dinner affair at 4:30PM. Tell the spouse you will be home for dinner.

Here are our predictions for each game the Skins will have this year.

Week#1: Sunday, September 13th 1:00PM(FOX) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Skins lost in this spot last year 32-27, but in Philadelphia. Most of Washington’s home games play a lot like road games and they are happy no fans are allowed in the stands for this one. The fans are also happy they did not show up. Haskins throws a late pick to seal the loss and ruin a strong defensive game. Eagles 16-10

Week#2: Sunday, September 20th: 1:00PM(FOX) @ Arizona Cardinals

The Skins manage to establish the run early and take an early lead, but the Arizona passing game is just too much. Murray throws for 350 yards and 3 TD’s and runs for another. DeAndre Hopkins has 160 yards receiving and 2 TDs. Cardinals 37-17

Week#3 Sunday, September 27th 1:00PM (FOX) @ Cleveland Browns

After getting embarassed in Arizona the Redskins travel to the empty dog pound and establish the run early and get an early lead. The offence can’t do enough to keep the D off the field and the Browns pick away and score a late touch down to ruin a strong effort by the defense again and a 2 sack game by rookie Chase Young. Browns 17-13

Week#4: Sunday, October 4th 1:00PM (CBS) vs. Baltimore Ravens

Another game the Redskins (but not owner Dan Snyder) are happy there are no fans as this is the battle of the DMV. This time the fans lose out on a beauty. Both sides have a lot to cheer about as this one turns into a shoot out. Haskins leaves the game in the 1st quarter and Kyle Allen steps in to throw for 340 yards and 3 TD’s. Not enough to beat Lamar Jackson and the Ravens who drive down the field and score a FG to win as time expires. Ravens 34-31

Week#5: Sunday, October 11th, 1:00PM(FOX) vs. Los Angeles Rams

Redskins are getting comfortable with these 1PM games and the Rams don’t travel well. Kyle Allen gets the start after his week 4 performance and does just enough to get the win. Redskins 20-14

Week#6: Sunday, October 18th 1:00PM(FOX) @ New York Giants

The Redskins play their 2nd division game of the year against the the 5-1 New York Giants. The front line manages to keep Saquan Barkley in check, but Kyle Allen is outplayed by Daniel Jones and the Skins win streak is snapped at 1. Giants 24-17

Week#7: Sunday, October 25th 1:00PM (FOX) vs Dallas Cowboys

Dwayne Haskins returns to the helm in this one and gets no help from his offensive line. He is sacked 5 times and the Redskins are steam rolled at home. Cowboys 34-10

Week#8: BYE The 1-6 Redskins have been among the best teams at stopping the run, but have struggled against the pass on offence. Their is a QB controversy brewing in DC. Coach Ron Rivera likes where this young team is at and feels the offence is coming together.

Week#9: Sunday, November 8th 1:00PM(FOX) vs. New York Giants

Coming off the buy Washington falls into the old 1pm Sunday routine against the division leading New York Giants. 20,000 fans are allowed in the stands and we are shocked to see they are almost ALL Redskins fans. These fans are further shocked as Haskins and the offence find their groove and manage a brilliant 4th quarter touchdown drive to win. Redskins 24-21

Week#10: Sunday, November 15th 1:00PM (FOX) @ Detroit Lions

The 1st road game since week 6 turns out to be a good one. The ageless Adrian Peterson rushes for 140 yards and 2 TD’s against his former division rival and Washington wins 2 in a row for the 1st time this year. Redskins 24-17

Week#11: Sunday, November 22nd 1:00PM (CBS) Cincinnati Bengals

1st overall pick Joe Burrow comes into time and the maximum allowed 20,000 Redskins faithful come to have a look. It is a rainy November day and the game turns into a battle in the trenches and Skins make it 3 in a row. Redskins 9-6

Week#12: Thursday, November 26th 4:30PM (FOX) @ Dallas Cowboys (Thanksgiving).

It is not prime time, but it is as good as it gets. Thanksgiving dinner with the Skins and Boys. Home cooking is too much for the visitors here, but the defense makes a game of it with 3 sacks an INT and a fumble recovery. Cowboys 24-17

Week#13: Sunday, December 6th 1:00PM (FOX) @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Washington travels to Steel town and go down big early after a Haskins pick 6 and Big Ben throws two more TD’s in the 1st quarter. The team and D rallies but it is not close to enough. Steelers 31-17

Week#14: Sunday, December 13th 4:25PM(FOX) @San Francisco 49ers

The 4-8 Redskins travel to West coast to play the NFC leading 49ers. Playing thier 3rd consecutive road game against a quality opponent proves to be a problem, nothing goes right and San Francisco takes full advantage. 49ers 31-3

Week#15: Sunday, December 20th 1:00PM(FOX) vs. Seattle Seahawks

Happy to be back home Washington faces Russell Wilson and the Seahawks and give them everything they can handle. The Skins hold a 17-13 lead going into the 4th, but Wilson does what he does best and orchestrates a 4th quarter game winning drive. Seahawks 20-17

Week#16: Sunday, December 27th 1:00PM (CBS) vs. Carolina Panthers

Controversy brews when an audio recording is leaked where Ron Rivera is heard telling the team if they lose this week he’ll change the Gatorade to Powerade and take away all their cell phones. The threat works and Redskins have their best team game of the year dominating on both ends of the ball. Happy Holidays Redskins 34-13

Week#17: Sunday, January 3rd 1:00PM (FOX) @ Philadelphia Eagles

Perhaps to prep for the playoffs the NFL allows full stadiums for the 1st time all year. Philly fans are excited to have someone to fight with, but no Redskins fans show up. So they fight each other. On the field, both teams are out of contention and play an uninspired game. Adrian Peterson goes over 1,000 yards for the 9th time in his career and passes Barry Sanders for 4th on the all-time rushing yards list in the loss. Eagles 17-16

Washington Redskins 2020 : 5 wins, 11 losses
